After heading home early last week without passing a roads bills (AGAIN!), the South Carolina Senate is finally back in session.
Now that they’re back, this could very well be the week they get around to voting on a bill to provide dedicated funding to fix our deadly roads and decaying bridges.
That means right now is the perfect time to take action and make your voice heard.
Here are TWO SIMPLE THINGS you can do in the next FIVE MINUTES that will make a HUGE difference…
1. Call Your Senator!
First, you need to make sure you have the right contact information for your member of the South Carolina Senate. Follow this link to find your Senator and get their office number at the Statehouse in Columbia.
Then, pick up the phone!
Believe it or not, elected officials pay close attention to their constituents… especially phone calls. That’s why your call right now could make a huge difference.
But please call TODAY… tomorrow may too late!
Any day now, the South Carolina Senate may take action on a roads bill. Your Senator needs to hear from you BEFORE that key vote takes place.
It will only take a minute or two to tell your Senator that you want the South Carolina Senate to follow the House’s lead and pass a roads bill this legislative session.
Life is busy and your time is valuable, so make the call to your Senator right now before you forget.
2. Tell your friends you made the call!
After you call your Senator, be sure to let everyone know on social media — and use the #CostOfLosing hashtag!
